Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Using the latest in automated refractive technology, Dr. Khayatan works patiently with you to make sure your prescription is accurate and best suits your visual needs. Binocular vision, or "eye teaming" is carefully assessed to evaluate eye coordination, focusing ability and eye muscle control. The health evaluation includes an intraocular pressure check, an important risk factor for glaucoma. With our high resolution retinal camera, Dr. Khayatan will be able to show you a detailed picture of the inside of your eyes and evaluate for retinal disorders and certain systemic diseases without the many hours of blur and light sensitivity caused by the dilating drops. The new visual field analyzer quickly and efficiently tests your peripheral vision, aiding in the detection of early signs of ocular and neurological diseases.
Contact Lenses
Using the information gathered from your corneal map, corneal curvature and ocular surface condition, Dr. Khayatan will accurately select the type of lens and material most appropriate for your eyes. Whether it be rigid gas permeable, soft, astigmatic, multifocal or monovision, Dr. Khayatan will take the time to fit you with the lenses that will best suit your visual needs.
Children's Vision
Did you know the American Optometric Association recommends your child's first eye examination take place during the first year of life? Vision problems that occur early on must be detected in order to ensure proper visual development. Certain visual disorders may hinder a child's ability or willingness to learn and can be frustrating both for the child and the parents.
